I was recommended to Mr Tailor at The Stoneygate Eye Hospital by my optician who identified that I had narrow angles. Following a consultation, Mr Tailor provided me with clear information and advice to enable me to make a decision to go ahead with laser iridotomy on both eyes. Having read about the possible side effects, I had some concerns, but I need not have worried. Mr Tailor carried out the procedure and gave me every confidence in his abilities. I was provided with the required eye drops and returned for a follow up the next week, at which Mr Tailor confirmed the procedure had been successful. Having read online about people who had a bad experience with this procedure, I have no negative side effects, which I believe is due to Mr Tailor’s expertise. I’m grateful for the speed and efficiency of the service provided and the level of explanation and information provided. Mr Tailor also wrote to my GP and optician to advise them of his findings and the procedure undertaken. I would recommend Mr Tailor.

Very pleased with the results of cataract surgery. Mr Tailor has done an amazing job. Very professional in all aspects the the procedure. Easy to talk to and reassuring along the way. I have always had to wear glasses with lenses being made stronger, now at the age of 70 years old only need them for reading or close work. It was a pleasure to meet all those I came into contact with throughout the procedure. I did find the administration side of things a challenge at times but put this down to the difficult times we are all having to cope with at the moment.

Mr Taylor has performed very good surgery on my cataract. The entire procedure was carried out professionally and aftercare excellent. I only gave 4 stars for “did the doctor listen to you” as I wasn’t entirely sure he always was. Slight hiccup in first consultation as I was advised by his secretary that I wouldn’t be having eye drops and therefore I drove to the appointment by myself. I did have eye drops and couldn’t drive for an hour afterwards which meant a lot of hanging around afterwards! Other than that all was fine.

Hi, my name is Steven Rippin, I’m 45 years old and suffered with very complicated eyesight since I was 5 years old. I was referred to see Mr Tailor a few months after I had a detached retina and cataract surgery done as I developed high eye pressure in 2020. From my first consultation with Mr Tailor I knew I was being looked after by one of the best surgeons when it comes to treatment for glaucoma. After Mr Tailor explained what was going on inside my eyes and a few more consultations after being put on different combinations of eye drops to help lower my eye pressure which didn’t work. Mr Tailor talked me through the different courses of action we could take to help save my eyesight. One being a trabeculectomy operation which he proceeded with in December 2020. I had a lot of concerns about the surgery and was very scared and anxious. So I got in touch with The Stoneygate Eye Hospital and they kindly informed Mr Tailor of my worries. My mind was put at rest when Mr Tailor called me on the phone and explained the whole procedure to me and how far it has come over the years. That conversation helped me no end. Mr Tailors bed side manner is impeccable. Since my operation Mr Tailor has been amazing and the after-care he has given me in my follow up appointments has been fantastic. If you or a family or friend is in need of a glaucoma specialist I highly recommend booking a consultation with Mr Tailor. Honestly, you will be in the best care and will be seen by a very honest, genuine, kind and caring man who only wants the best possible outcome for your eyesight. Furthermore, he always makes you feel relaxed and explains everything to you very clearly. I have the utmost respect for Mr Tailor. Many thanks for reading my review, Steven Rippin IG: thepositivepirate

There is no-one I could possibly recommend more highly than Mr Tailor. He is an expert in his field, has great empathy, is very reassuring concerning my eye condition and always makes me feel that he has all the time in the world to discuss my problem. I feel so lucky that I have him looking after me.
